Senior Linux Systems Engineer (DevOps)

Role Overview:  

The Senior Linux Systems Engineer is providing leadership in transitioning technical operations from traditional administration and deployment management to infrastructure as application leveraging automation/configuration management technologies

• Operation support
  • installation, set up, configuration and maintenance of Java Application Servers, Apache Web Servers,
  • support for Firewalls, and Database Servers,
  • installation, configuration and administration of RedHat systems,
  • maintenance and administration of a high availability environment,
  • tunning for OS, application and network settings ,
  • analysing, managing cyber security-based secure operation, management of vulnerabilities,
  • support and control for IT development needs, releases,
  • writing and testing ad-hoc Linux scripts, programs,
• Support in troubleshooting
  • debugging, analysis, managing and checking logs,
  • monitoring of non-prod and prod systems operation,
  • performance tuning, checking – planning capacity requirements,
  • management of scheduled system and application tasks and services,
  • occasional work after hours or weekends at our co‐location facility,

Requirements – Education, Skills & Experience:

• minimum 3‐4 years’ experience in a small to mid‐size software company in a systems engineer/administrator
• RedHat Satellite system knowledge, network knowledge,
• postgre SQL database operation knowledge,
• Nessus Pci Dss based security support,
• experience in a high‐availability and mission critical environment,
• knowledge in visualization and network attached storages,
• ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services,
• solid verbal and written communication skills both in Hungarian and English
• communicate effectively with others both on a technical level and on a business level,
